  • About The Role

  • We are looking for an Ethical Compliance Officer to join our ESG team at AMFRESH.

Reporting to the Ethical Compliance Manager, this role will support the day-to-day ethical compliance and human rights due diligence activity across our global fresh produce supply chain, covering more than 2,000 production sites worldwide.

This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 3 days per week based at our Alconbury or Peterborough site.

This is a permanent opportunity supporting the delivery of our human rights programme across a global supply chain. The role is focused on managing ethical compliance activities, reviewing audit reports, monitoring corrective action plans and working closely with suppliers to drive continuous improvement against ethical trade standards.

The role would suit someone with experience in ethical compliance, sustainability or human rights who is confident analysing data, managing documentation and engaging with stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met. You'll play a key role in identifying risks, tracking supplier performance and supporting customer and retailer ethical trade commitments.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Reviewing and maintaining supplier ethical compliance documentation and records
    • Supporting human rights due diligence activity across the global supply chain
    • Monitoring audit status, risk assessments, corrective actions and retailer-specific requirements
    • Following up with suppliers on outstanding documentation and corrective action plans
    • Keeping compliance systems, trackers and platforms accurate and up to date
    • Supporting the preparation of compliance reports, summaries and customer updates
    • Escalating significant ethical compliance risks or non-conformances where required
    • Working closely with suppliers, commercial teams and internal stakeholders to support compliance requirements

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a structured, process-driven compliance environment, where accuracy, follow-up and attention to detail are key.

  • About You

  • We are looking for an experienced ethical compliance professional who is confident working in a detailed, process-driven compliance role across a complex global supply chain.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Proven experience working in ethical compliance and human rights due diligence
    • Strong knowledge of social and ethical audit schemes and retailer compliance requirements, such as SEDEX, SMETA, GRASP, amfori BSCI, SIZA, RFA or Fairtrade
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage and review high volumes of compliance data
    • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and follow compliance processes closely
    • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines, priorities and supplier follow-up activity
    • Confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers, commercial teams and wider internal stakeholders

Experience within fresh produce, food manufacturing, agriculture or FMCG supply chains would be advantageous, as would experience working with UK retailer compliance requirements.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a highly detailed compliance environment, with a focus on accuracy, documentation, supplier records and retailer requirements.
