Head of Finance for Operations

We are looking for an experienced Head of Finance for Operations to lead operational finance across our Alconbury and Peterborough sites.

Reporting to the UK CFO, you will be a key member of the UK Finance Leadership Team and the senior finance partner to the Operations Director and Operational Leadership Team.

You will provide insight, challenge and financial leadership to improve performance, efficiency and profitability across both sites. You will also lead two Senior Finance Business Partners – Operations, building a high-performing and commercially focused team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with senior operational leaders across both sites to improve performance and profitability.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting, planning and operational performance reviews.
• Providing clear financial insight, challenge and decision support.
• Driving cost control, KPI accountability and strong financial governance.
• Improving reporting, systems, processes and operational costing.
• Leading and developing the Operational Finance team.

You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in a senior operational finance role within FMCG, manufacturing or a similarly complex environment.

You will have:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong experience partnering senior operational stakeholders.
• A proven background in budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong commercial, analytical and systems capability.
• The confidence to challenge constructively and influence at senior level.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, finance transformation or fresh produce would be beneficial.
