Production Manager

Do you have experience in production management within the food industry? Are you ready to lead a busy Citrus operation supplying fresh produce to the UK’s leading supermarkets?

We’re looking for a Production Manager to lead our Citrus team at Alconbury. Working Monday to Friday, you’ll manage the Shift Managers and oversee two teams working a 4 on, 4 off pattern. You’ll be responsible for delivering the production plan and ensuring both shifts meet our standards for performance, quality, efficiency and compliance.

You will:

• Lead the Citrus production area across both shifts and deliver the daily production plan.
• Manage, support and develop the Shift Managers, creating a consistent approach across their teams.
• Drive performance through LEAN tools and continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards in safety, hygiene, quality and traceability.
• Control costs, waste and key production KPIs.
• Recruit, develop and motivate your team with support from HR.
• Work closely with senior managers and other departments to maintain strong communication and service delivery.

• Proven production management experience, ideally within fresh produce or food manufacturing.
• Experience leading managers and teams across multiple shifts.
• A strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• A people-focused leadership style, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
• A commitment to quality, safety and operational excellence.
• Confidence using systems and Microsoft Office.
