About The Role

We have a new vacancy for a Warehouse Operative to join the team.
 
This role will work on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern - 6am to 4pm.

This role will assist the Managers and Team Leaders in delivering an effective and efficient operation against daily and weekly targets and plans. Perform an active role in delivering an effective, efficient receipt, picking and despatch operation on a day-to-day basis.

  • Receive deliveries of raw materials, packaging and equipment using FLT and loading platform.
  • Ensure all deliveries received are stored in correct area, and store space is utilised efficiently.
  • Issue raw materials, packaging and equipment to production as requested, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure stock integrity and accuracy, including supporting with any required stock takes.
  • Ensure that Company requirements with regards to the safety, quality and legality of the product are adhered to.
  • Working as a team to ensure the picking, labelling, and loading of all finished goods is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Adhere and promote the Company’s clean as you go policy at all times.
  • Perform relevant pre start up safety checks for any MHE used
  •  Ensure all PDA tasks relating to outbound and inbound goods are completed as required.

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Ensure you, your team and any visitors comply with all Health and Safety procedures in the area under your control.
  • Correct, or report, unsafe practices or conditions.
  • Ensure accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences are dealt with in accordance with company standards.
  • Positively promote a Health and Safety culture
 Quality:
  • Have a good understanding the quality standards required by our customers and the internal requirements of our quality systems and procedures.

Hygiene and Housekeeping Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with hygiene rules and requirements.
  • Maintain a hygienic, clean and tidy working environment at all times.
  • Ensure conformance to work wear (PPE) requirements.
  • Positively promote a culture of hygiene and housekeeping.
 Environmental Responsibilities:
  • Understand and comply with the company environmental policy.
  • Co-operate with management on environmental matters and implement improvements in your area.

About You

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Previous experience within Fresh Produce / Food Production / FMCG environment
  • Good all-round communication skills and basic understanding of the English language
  • A keen eye for detail
  • FLT Licence (Counterbalance)
