We are looking for a Finance Transformation & Accounting Policies Specialist to join a strategic financial transformation initiative within the Group.
The role will play a key part in defining, harmonising and implementing the corporate accounting framework, helping to ensure consistent financial criteria across the Group's business units and geographies.
The main objective will be to analyse existing accounting policies, identify differences and risks, define a common framework, and contribute to the creation of the Group Accounting Policies Manual, as well as the mechanisms to monitor and ensure compliance with it.
Key responsibilities
Accounting policies and harmonisation
- Review the accounting policies applied across the different business units and geographies.
- Identify differences in criteria, inconsistencies and compliance risks.
- Assess the alignment of local practices with IFRS and corporate guidelines.
- Lead the preparation of the Group Accounting Policies Manual, establishing consistent criteria and best practices.
Accounting governance and compliance
- Establish procedures to ensure corporate policies are correctly applied.
- Carry out periodic compliance reviews across the business units.
- Identify deviations and propose corrective action plans.
- Provide technical support to local finance teams on the interpretation and application of accounting standards.
Project Prime and financial transformation
- Take an active part in the Group's financial transformation project.
- Work closely with the Reporting, Consolidation, Internal Control, Systems and Local Finance teams.
- Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of financial and corporate governance processes.
- Support the definition of functional requirements for applying and monitoring accounting policies within the Group's new financial tools.
Audit and stakeholders
- Act as the internal point of reference for technical accounting queries.
- Take an active part in the Group's audits, coordinating with local teams and external auditors on the preparation and follow-up of the required information.
- Prepare executive reports on the level of compliance and the main areas for improvement identified.
