About The Role
We’re looking for a highly customer-focused Head of Technical to lead technical delivery across our AMFRESH UK customer accounts, including Co-op, Aldi and Sainsbury’s.

Reporting to the AMFRESH UK Commercial Director, you will take ownership of our technical relationships with these major retailers, ensuring we remain a trusted, responsive and credible technical partner.

You will bring a strong fresh-produce background and proven experience leading the technical relationship with a major UK retailer. Specific category experience isn’t required; your ability to understand customers, build trusted relationships and deliver consistently against their expectations will be what matters most.
You will:

Own and develop AMFRESH UK’s technical relationships with Co-op, Aldi and Sainsbury’s

Lead the customer technical agenda, ensuring retailer standards and expectations are consistently delivered

Build trusted relationships with customer technical teams and manage key issues and escalations

Lead and support the technical team to deliver strong customer, quality and compliance performance

Work closely with Commercial, Operations, Procurement and our supply chain to resolve challenges and drive improvement

Oversee customer KPIs, technical strategies and performance plans

Ensure product integrity, safety, legality and quality standards are maintained throughout the supply chain

Provide technical insight and support to the Commercial Director and wider business
About You
We are looking for:
- Strong technical experience within fresh produce
- Proven ownership of a major UK retailer technical account
- Excellent knowledge of retailer standards, product safety, quality and compliance
- A highly customer-focused approach with strong relationship-building and influencing skills
- Confidence managing technical challenges, priorities and customer escalations
- A proactive, collaborative and commercially aware approach
People-management and specific product-category experience are not essential.
