Senior Development Technologist

AMT FRESH is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Development Technologist to join our Technical Team in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead innovation within a fast-paced, future-focused fresh produce business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead consumer preference mapping trials and develop data-led insights for continuous improvement.

• Design and implement testing protocols to enhance operational efficiency.

• Drive innovation by identifying research opportunities and reporting on emerging technologies.

• Manage and support shelf-life and data teams to meet customer and business objectives.

• Maintain smooth operation of the shelf-life department, including equipment calibration and resource control.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across the supply chain to deliver impactful development projects.

• Proven project management and team leadership skills.
• Strong data analysis capabilities, including statistical methods and Excel proficiency.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Minimum A-level or Degree in a relevant life science (e.g., Food Technology, Biology, Agriculture), or equivalent experience.

Desirable:

• Experience in continuous improvement and New Product Development (NPD).
• Familiarity with fresh produce, food manufacturing, and innovative packaging solutions.

AMK FRESH services is a facility built specifically in Peterborough, UK, serving as a sister company to AMT FRESH providing a one-stop solution for packing and supplying fresh produce for retailers.

Working collaboratively with Tesco and the growers across all categories, AMT provides end-to-end supply services to retailers, including all technical and due diligence management, quality management, sourcing, logistics, and supply chain, operations and packing, category management, consumer engagement, and insight.
