Production Operative/Grape Trimmer - Full Time Opportunities!

We are expanding our operational team due to exciting company growth and are looking for enthusiastic, detail-focused team players to join our company on a permanent, full-time basis.  

No experience is needed as full training will be provided on the job so you can learn as you go. What’s important is your approach to work is flexible, with a focus on detail and a can-do attitude. We are hiring for multiple positions for this role. 

About the job 

This Production Operative / Grape Trimmer role sits in our manufacturing team and will be guided by a line leader. You will work closely with other operatives on the line in our manufacturing facility. 

You will:

• Play a key role in a team to ensure daily targets are met so we can deliver quality fruit to customers on time.
• Trim grapes at the required speed – which is different for each variety – and make sure the product is labelled, packed, and weighed correctly.
• Develop an understanding of what good quality looks like so you can identify and remove defects and report any products with extensive quality issues.
• Be flexible so you can switch between lines and varieties and the speed you’ll need to work at. 
• Be trained to understand how we weigh our products, and the systems we use to do so accurately and quickly 
• Become a Buddy to new starters once you are confident and performing well in the role 
• Understand Food Safety and Integrity Standards and champion these across your line and work at all time
• Keep yourself and your colleagues safe by promoting good Health & Safety at all times and making sure trimming scissors are kept safe and fit to use 
• Help AMFRESH keep waste to a minimum and dispose of any waste properly and safely

• Like hands-on, practical work where you have achievable targets to meet
• Have a good eye for detail and the confidence to report when products don’t meet our high-quality standards 
• Can work at pace and make decisions quickly 
•  Can follow directions and instructions accurately, and can be flexible and switch tasks when needed
•  Work well in a team and are happy to provide help or training to others (once you are trained in the role)
• Have a positive, can-do attitude to produce the very best output
• Very basic knowledge of English will be useful in the role
