About The Role

The Production Analyst will work within the ERP system to collate and analyse a range of production and operations related data. The role will involve assessment of all production orders, considering stock utilisation and Bill of Material (BOM) accuracy as well as yield and giveaway tolerances.

The Production Analyst will be responsible for creating and reporting on a suite of KPIs with focus on improvement opportunities within the process.

The role will involve regular stock reconciliation concentrating on system-based analysis, reporting and deviation investigations.

 Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Act in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and Health & Safety Procedures
  • Analyse and close all Works Orders (Production Orders), ensuring that the production requirements of each job align to the selected manufacturing code.
  • Assess and report on yield, loss, ‘give away’, market stock, waste and samples to provide a detailed view of material consumption.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Operational Teams to develop, and monitor the accuracy of, Bill of Materials (BOMs), Manufacturing Codes and Rate Cards within the system.
  • Complete daily checks of the BOMs and Manufacturing Codes used within each Works Order, checking details against the reported activity.
  • Support the Packaging Supervisor to review and update allocation and consumption of packaging/materials shared across multiple orders and lines.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly stock takes with timely and detailed reporting.
  • Support the Intake, Picking and Dispatch teams with system-based stock queries and/or deviation investigations as well as physical investigations where required.
  • Support the Operations, Logistics and Commercial teams with system-based queries and/or deviation investigations.
  • Support Finance teams with data, reports and details as routine and as and when requested.
  • Develop and report on a suite of KPIs.
  • Maintain good housekeeping at all times in accordance with company H&S procedures.
  • Recognise the importance of this role to the daily operations and to the business.
  • Support all areas of the business as and when required.

About You

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Experience in a Fresh Produce or Food environment.
  • ERP System Experience.
  • Experience in data and information analysis with relevant reporting.
  • Ability to prioritise workload, delegate tasks, and meet deadlines with a proactive and reactive approach.
  • Experience of change and development in ways of working.  
  • Positive engagement with all colleagues and a flexible approach to working.
  • Microsoft Office proficient including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding KPIs and their relevance  


Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience with Rubicon ERP systems
  • Experience of systems development
  • Stock Control/Management experience in a high volume, fast moving environment.
  •  Experience in warehousing environment
  • Experience in a Fresh Produce or Food environment

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing business at our new state-of-the-art chilled food facility currently being built in Peterborough dedicated to packing a range of imported fresh products for Tesco. The new facility is expected to employ around 300 people. 
We are proud to have supported Tesco in their Citrus, Grape and other fresh fruit for a number of years and this new facility and partnership takes this relationship further, expanding our product range with Tesco into vegetables.
