About The Role

We are recruiting for a Product Assessor to assess the quality of Tesco Group products using the appropriate processes and specifications, so only great quality, safe & legal products reach our customers. In this role you will conduct other checks to ensure due diligence of the Tesco Group.
Critical Success Factors 
  • To inspect/validate quality of finished product, providing Tesco and AMT management with an accurate and informative Quality report.
  • Pass regular and one-off validation requirements.
  • Meet agreed monthly KPI’s on compliance, accuracy and productivity.
  • Protect the interest of AMT, Karsten’s and Tesco though monitoring and reporting the activities of the Service Site.
  • Work alongside and support the Tesco Product Assessment Team
  • Product Risk team
  • Technical teams – Tesco and AMT
  • Measuring product quality using the correct tools & methods in line with the standards set out in the product specifications.
  • Working to the agreed Product Assessment processes and procedures at all times, to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Checking 'Tesco Group' products against specification for visual and intrinsic tests.
  • To work with Service Providers to positively release product from site, following agreed procedures and processes.
  • Liaising with Tesco Product Assessment colleagues, suppliers, and technical teams to ensure the delivery of the agreed technical specifications. Recording & presenting data accurately.
  • Attending planned training days & achieving the required pass score to ensure skills & knowledge are maintained
  • Following Tesco Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Supporting compliance to GSCOP by ensuring all my actions are fair and reasonable and meet all guidelines.
  • Keep appropriate level of communication with stakeholders by reporting all issues or requirements to relevant people.
  • Keep the site rules, personal and general cleanliness on appropriate level of work.

Working Hours: 5 days a week and 1 weekend in 4. 

About You

Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance role is beneficial
  • Knowledge of quality control procedures.
  • Experience within a production environment.
  • Excellent customer approach, & good cross functional working relations across teams demonstrating effective communication skills
  • Methodical & balanced in approach, good time management & quick-thinking ability to re-prioritise workload under pressure & at short notice
  • Flexibility to work in various locations when required
  •  Product Knowledge
  • Full driving licence
  • IT Literate (Intermediate level in excel/word)
  •  Good level of English language spoken and written

About Us

AMT is a growing business at our new state-of-the-art chilled food facility in Peterborough dedicated to packing a range of imported fresh products for Tesco.

We are proud to have supported Tesco in their Citrus, Grape and other fresh fruit for a number of years and this new facility and partnership takes this relationship further, expanding our product range with Tesco into vegetables.
