About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experience Group Transactional Controller to join our central Finance Team in a newly created position to undertake the management of the transaction part of a shared service centre.
This role will require management of AP and AR functions and the respective managers and teams currently 10 employees with scope to 13.
Areas of Responsibility 

Processing AP and AR Transactions

  • Pro-actively manage the issuance and recording of all AR invoices, cash and related debit notes in a timely fashion.
  • Pro-actively manage the processing of all AP supplier invoices, advances, payments and related debit notes in a timely fashion.

    Management of the Finance Team

  • Pro-actively manage and coach the AP/AR teams daily to ensure all reporting information is up to date and available for the business.
  • Ensure all core finance activities are completed on a daily basis.

Management accounts

  • Support the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Working alongside other functions for decision support

    Cash Management Control

  • Ensure that the funding offerings to the business are adequate to support its trading activities in growth/transition years.


  • Responsible for the core system and continuous improvement.

    Audit Governance

  • Support the preparation of the year end accounts and liaise with audit teams when required
  • Responsible for ensuring all AP/AR activities comply with the auditing requirements and identifying any actions.


  • Responsible for the collation of payment data across the business and providing relevant reports for approval
  • Identifying cashflow requirements and ensuring JIT holding of the required currencies

About You

The ideal candidate will have managed a shared service centre before and will have experience of cash flow management, credit insurance and FMCG environments.
Qualified accountancy status is essential.
The candidate will be deadline driven and used to working as part of a larger finance team, upskilling the team and working on succession planning in vital in this role.
Knowledge of currency markets would be desirable but not required.
