About The Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Technical Manager. Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the of the QMS. To provide technical support across the business units as required and identify and develop continuous improvement opportunities in all technical and quality associated areas. This role will be a 6 month fixed term contract. 
Key responsibilities: 
  • To maintain the QMS and Internal Audit programme.
  •  Maintaining the Quality Management System and controlling of all documents
  • Record of non-conformances, investigation, analysis, and implementation of corrective action(s) as applicable.
  • Perform internal audits against the audit schedule (standards audits, GMP, jewellery audits, glass and hard plastics and other appropriate audits)
  • To promote and steer an audit ready culture within in all areas
  • Ensure audit preparation are well prepared and audit outcomes are successful
  • Maintain accurate and up to date KPI reports
  • Maintain and manage all tasks on Tesco TQT
  • Work alongside and support the Site Technical Manager
  • Communicate and work internally with all departments
  • Monitor compliance with hygiene rules and requirements
  • Positively promote a culture of hygiene and housekeeping
  • Attend the daily meetings and provide feedback on any current technical/ quality challenges
  • Act as point of contact on a day to day basis for the Quality and Technical teams. Maintain the flow of information into the Quality/ Technical team, ensuring appropriate communications are passed
  • Promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures and product specifications as required by our quality standards

About You

  • A graduate with a relevant degree or previous experience in similar role is beneficial
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and with own initiative
  • Passion for all aspects of technical / quality and product management
  • Good understanding and interpersonal skills – managing relationships at all levels internally
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Microsoft Office experience - Word, Excel
